This huge, $11+-billion, 68-acre project, is under construction on the Las Vegas Strip between Bellagio and Monte Carlo.  The 2nd Phase will occupy the space behind and between Monte Carlo and New York New York.  The Boardwalk Hotel was demolished along with a few local businesses to make room for this immense project.

The project will be a mini-city with its own fire station, an on-site power plant, and lots of pedestrian space.  Las Vegas is one of the leading cities for incorporating green technology.

City Center is opening in December of 2009 and is currently the single most expensive privately funded project in the western hemisphere. Wow, lets see what this will do to the Vegas economy. I’ll start here first… Freddie Roach is not getting in the ring; Pac-Man is and I would pick Roger Mayweather over Freddie Roach as a trainer; but, neither one of them are getting in the ring to fight… If they were; I’d still pick Roger..LOL.. If you do your research you will find out that the level of competition that Mayweather has faced is far superior than the level of fighter’s Pac-Man has faced… You always have to take into consideration that Floyd Mayweather is an Olympian who was robbed of a Gold Medal in “1996″ I believe… He received the Bronze Medal; but, he was truly robbed…And, the Mayweather’s never bring this up!.. The torch was officially passed when Floyd busted up Oscar De La Hoya…

Under the terms of the deal Prokhorov will own a majority stake of the Nets, and 50% of the project to build them a new stadium in Brooklyn, New York. That project is a massive development of the old Atlantic Rail yards in Brooklyn. For 200 million dollars Prokhorov’s company, the Onexim Group, will pay 200 million dollars for 80% of the Nets, and will provide additional funding to complete the new Brooklyn stadium.

The Onexim group will also own 45% of the new stadium venture and has the right to buy up 20% of Atlantic yard Development company, which is the company developing the non arena part of the real estate. Stern praised the deal announcing that it would help stabile the Nets, and insures the Nets a new arena. Stern is also happy to have this help in expanding his league globally. Wow!.. This is deep and definitely a trend to follow…

It’s going to be all about the “fire power”…The Hearns vs. Duran in 1984 in Vegas @ Caesar Palace  comes to mind..This is why I posted that fight for your viewing on the MSB TV tab….I was in Vegas and @ the fight “pure action”!.. I partied like a “Rock Star” after the fight!… June 15, 1984 ” I was 19 years old” and from the Detroit Metro.. I won a ton of money!!.. I think I was the only 19 year old drive a Audi 5000 in Las Vegas at the time.LOL.. Man, I was roll’in from the money I won betting on the fights!!..

This is when they had the fights outside at Caesar and when Tommy hit Duran with the final right hand it sounded like a shot gun went off…Everyone knew it was over when Duran hit the canvas. I alway felt that Duran owed the boxing game that  for quitting  against Sugar Ray Leonard in the second fight…
